IPA South Africa’s 36th National Council Meeting hosted by IPA Free State Region
Dear Colleagues,
It is time!!
The Free State has eventually stepped up to the plate. It is therefore our great honour and privilege to announce the venue and surrounding area where the 2022 National Council Meeting will be hosted.
The Free State town of Brandfort is not far from the venue of our National Council Meeting. Not known by many, Brandfort has been officially renamed, Winnie Mandela. The Town has been renamed in honour of the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, wife of late President Nelson Mandela, in honour of the struggle stalwart who was placed under house arrest in Brandfort in May 1977.
Close to the town of Brandfort, is the exclusive Amanzi Private Game Reserve that will be the host for the 2022 National Council Meeting. IPA delegates and visitors will be accommodated in luxurious accommodation surrounded by the unique Free State landscape and the sounds of lions roaring. The beautiful sites and walking trails, game drives and Spa relaxation is there for all to enjoy. So bring your walking shoes and come and experience the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.
An excursion aimed to blow your mind will be provided in which we will showcase our beautiful surroundings and Free State hospitality.
We are eagerly looking forward to seeing and hosting you from 20 to 23 October 2022. Please note that we can only cater for 50 guests on-site and therefore the “first come first served” rule will apply. A 50% deposit needs to be provided to the venue to secure our reservation. We, therefore, request that the funds be paid by no later than 15 September 2022.
Visitors are more than welcome to attend although no official programme is available. The reserve provides ample opportunities to relax by the pool, walk on the many trails or enjoy a drink at your beautiful accommodation.
Amanzi is situated ± 74 km from Bloemfontein. The road leading to Amanzi from Brandfort is a gravel road but is in excellent condition.
Your own transport is needed in respect of delegates flying to Bloemfontein, although this is not recommended as flights to Bloemfontein are extremely expensive. We are centrally located 600 km from Durban, Johannesburg and 1000 km from Cape Town.
The accommodation is pre-booked and once confirmation is given members will be liable for the cost, irrespective of the reason they can no longer attend.
