South African IPA membership is open to serving or retired members of the following services:
South African Police Service (SAPS)
Civilians employed by the SAPS
National Defence Force Military Police
Metropolitan Police Services
National and Provincial Parks Board Law Enforcement
Traffic Police
SOUTH AFRICAN REVENUE SERVICE
BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
CORRECTIONAL SERVICES
IMPORTANT:
Members wishing to apply for IPA South Africa membership must please take note of the following:
IPA Application Form
- The IPA Membership Application Form MUST be completed in detail and is to be submitted to the National Administrative Centre for processing;
- The Application Form MUST be signed by the member applying for membership;
- The Application Form can be scanned and e-mailed or faxed to the National Administrative Centre for processing;
- A clear copy of the ID of the member applying for IPA membership MUST be attached to the Application Form when e-mailed or faxed;
- No applications will be processed if the Form is not completed in full or if a copy of the ID is not attached;
- Applications by Non-Serving SAPS members must be accompanied by a completed Debit Order Form
Serving SAPS Members: Deposit & Membership Fees
- No deposit will be required for membership;
- The annual membership fee will be deducted monthly from the member’s salary through the SAPS PERSAL system.
All Other Members: Deposit & Annual Membership Fees
- The annual fee will come into effect the following month;
- Preference is given that the annual renewal fees are thereafter paid through a debit order.
