In this seminar, participants learn to recognize terrorist structures and networks – Islamist, right-wing and left-wing extremist – and to realistically assess their effects on internal security. They identify indicators of radicalisation and attack preparation and transfer this knowledge to everyday police work.

In addition, current threat situations are analysed and police prevention, investigation and deployment strategies for dealing with terrorist actors are taught. In practical exercises and scenarios, the participants train their decision-making and action skills in the context of terrorism in order to be able to act safely, in a structured and effective manner in an emergency.
