This international police exchange programme offers participants first-hand experience with Rio de Janeiro\u2019s specialised police units in high-intensity urban environments. Officers will take part in operational and theoretical training, visit local police units, and engage in CORE and special forces activities, including time in uniform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fade-in visible\" data-start=\"669\" data-end=\"1043\">Alongside professional policing, participants will enjoy cultural and tourism experiences, including excursions to <strong data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"799\">Ilha Grande<\/strong>, visits to <strong data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"833\">historical prisons<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"855\">helicopter tours<\/strong>, iconic <strong data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"881\">Rio landmarks<\/strong>, and basic <strong data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"927\">Brazilian culinary experiences<\/strong>. The programme concludes with continued engagement with special forces and a <strong data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1040\">symbolic tree-planting activity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fade-in visible\" data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1253\">Due to its physically demanding nature, the programme is <strong data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1177\">not recommended for elderly officers or those with physical limitations<\/strong>, and some elements may not suit officers with halal dietary restrictions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IPA Brasil is pleased to invite members to the 3rd edition of Favela on Duty, running from 19\u201330 September.
