Increases are being experienced<br>across every aspect of our livelihood &#8211; for fuel, municipal accounts, food, drinks, insurance, and travel, as well as for<br>membership fees of sports clubs and associations we belong to.<\/p>\n<p>IPA South Africa similarly finds itself caught up in the reality that increases across various levels have a serious<br>impact on the Association.<\/p>\n<p>With the current membership amounting to R300.00 per annum, IPA South Africa is no longer in a position to<br>cover all its liabilities. We are experiencing serious financial constraints.<\/p>\n<p>IPA (SA) membership fees have not been increased for many years.<\/p>\n<p>During the National Council Meeting held on 20 and 21 October 2022, the National Council in the context of the<br>financial constraints being experienced approved an annual increase of R60.00 per member.<\/p>\n<p>The increase of R60.00 per member will become effective on 1 January 2023 with the annual membership fee<br>then being R360.00 per member and it being deducted as follows<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Serving SAPS Members:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Monthly deduction increasing from R25.00 per month to R30.00 per month.<br>The increased deductions will be undertaken through PERSAL at the end of January 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>EFT, Debit Order and Cash Payments:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>For new and existing EFT and Cash Paying members, the new membership fee will be applicable<br>as of 1 January 2023<\/li>\n<li>New and existing Debit Order deductions will be processed from the end of January as applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The cost of annual membership between now and 31 December 2022, will remain unchanged at R300.00 per member.<\/p>\n<p>Any membership fee received between now and 31 December 2023 will be R300.00 and be regarded as membership fees for 2023 \u2013 such members will be regarded as duly paid up for 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The National Executive Committee (NEC) sincerely has trust that members will see the increase in light of the<br>liabilities IPA (SA) is experiencing.
