DESCRIPTION:International Police Association \nHosting Section Meeting \nSeptember 4-7\, 2026\nThe Portuguese Section invites all IPA Sections to join us at this meeting to share information\, questions\, and ideas on how to better serve our members. This meeting represents an excellent opportunity for all Sections to interact and collaborate. \nIn particular\, Sections that host IPA Houses are encouraged to participate\, as this provides a valuable forum to discuss and coordinate administrative matters related to accommodation options\, including reservations\, facility management\, and promotional activities. \nWe look forward to seeing you there. \nIn order for us to welcome you all to the IPA National House\, we would appreciate it if you could share rooms so that we can all stay together\, as our house has rooms with 2 and 3 beds\, thus increasing the accommodation capacity. SUMMARY:Terrorism – Recognising radicalisation\, preventing attacks\, dismantling networks | Terrorism – recognizing radicalization\, preventing attacks\, dismantling networks (D/E)
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nIn this seminar\, participants learn to recognize terrorist structures and networks – Islamist\, right-wing and left-wing extremist – and to realistically assess their effects on internal security. They identify indicators of radicalisation and attack preparation and transfer this knowledge to everyday police work. \nIn addition\, current threat situations are analysed and police prevention\, investigation and deployment strategies for dealing with terrorist actors are taught.
