DESCRIPTION:Content \nThe #SHEisIPA team are delighted to deliver the ‘Empowering Female Leaders – in the IPA and Beyond’ seminar\, which will focus on the role of ‘leadership’ from both an International Police Association\, academic and practitioner perspective\, with contributions from leadership professionals across the world. \nTarget group: \nWomen who are already in leadership positions or want to become leaders\, whether in law enforcement or in the IPA; those who want to work on their own professional development.\nObjectives of the event: \nAt the end of this seminar\, you will feel confident enough to apply for the position you want to have. \nYou will understand different leadership styles and applications in the workplace \nYou will be aware of current academic research which helps shape the way leadership roles are undertaken \nYou will learn soft skills about personal presence and confidence \nYou will understand the basics about how the IPA is structured and the leadership roles within it. \nBesides interesting and professionally relevant presentations provided by experienced leaders\, the seminar will have practical exercises to enable you to work with colleagues to improve skills. The seminar program will include current topics like the New Work concept\, mental health\, Inclusive Leadership\, and digital leadership. After every input there will be a practical workshop. \nSeminar Chair: Karen Duckworth\, President IPA UK\, #SHEisIPA PROJECT. Project Lead – IEB subsidised fee for first delegate nominated by National Board – 119 euros.
